In addition to over 20 years of combined real estate experience, our directors Greer Gittoes and Michael Platsis have extensive personal experience in the retail sector through owning and operating food & beverage venues and working in commercial property finance. Meet the team.
Greer Gittoes established Chesters Real Estate in 2012 after recognising the opportunity for a dedicated and specialist Brisbane retail agency. Chesters has since evolved into a market leader for speciality retail leasing and has developed a strong reputation of working with the most dynamic retail brands. Greer has also worked as a property analyst in London, Suncorp Group in Property Development & Finance, and has successfully run her own food and beverage business.
Greer is well known for her ability to identify the best tenants and her creative and effective approach to lease negotiations.
Michael Platsis takes a hands on approach with our clients and their projects. Whether it be managing the retail leasing of a new development or implementing a strategy to maximise the value of an asset before sale.
Michael has been fortunate to have worked in the Brisbane commercial property markets for 8 years, in management positions at Wright Property Group (now Cushman Wakefield) and CBRE. With experience in retail and commercial leasing, asset and development site sales, Michael has benefited from the exposure to these markets and gained a comprehensive understanding of commercial property in Brisbane.
Caitlyn coordinates internal office administration through using meticulous detail in the preparation of formal documents and marketing. Her Diploma in Human Resources, coupled with eleven years in hospitality has built a humble approach to customer service and client interaction.
During her time with the Jamie Oliver Group, Caitlyn has successfully opened restaurants in both London and Australian venues. Working more recently in Harvey's Bistro has fine-tuned an understanding of the James Street precinct and the well-established business culture attached. Caitlyn is confident and well-versed in accommodating professionals in these industries.
